Panel discussion: The battle for talent
-
Covid-19 truly showed that companies are reliant on their people. Staff went above and beyond through the crisis to keep businesses afloat, adapt to new working demands and to continue to serve their customers. In turn companies have come to appreciate their employees like never before. However, the risk of losing those very talented people has also increased and companies need to attract, retain and look after the right people with the right skills to succeed in this global, technology-based economy.
Added to that, companies need to be aware of the differing demands on their staff. Whether they are based at home, or flexi-working, younger people will have very different challenges to older people. This means that risk managers and their colleagues need to ask themselves some serious questions to help ensure that their companies are truly ‘people driven’.
